And God said: let there be the possibility of something and let that something have parts and let the parts be capable of change. And so space with all its dimensions was prepared to be born and time was in readiness to begin
.....and God saw that it was good.
And God said: let the possibility be unified by being full of the nature and the wisdom and the principles that would shape its continual becoming, and let it show diversity with unpredictability and randomness in some of its parts, so that it would give rise to newness and richness and to wonder and mystery
.....and God saw that it was good.
And God said: let it be …and being began. And what came into being was everything—there was nothing else and there was nowhere else—and according to its nature, its dimension grew and it increased—without special favour to any portion—and it continued to increase and the various parts combined and acted on one another to shine forth and to produce stars and groups of stars and nebulae and galaxies and groups of galaxies, and planets and systems of planets and all the agencies and bodies of the heavens and all the parts of the earth
.....and God saw that it was good.
And in time the bodies and the agencies combined within their parts and began to replicate and to reproduce and to give rise to living creatures, and the creatures developed in all manner of places and in all manner of forms
.....and God saw that it was good.
And in the course of time, as the myriads of creatures developed some formed communities with customs and rituals and cultures, communities in which they could grow and know each other and know themselves, and in which to belong. And in their development some began to be aware and to make conscious choices and to display imagination and wills with freedom
.....and God saw that it was good.
And in the fullness of time the human family portion of the creatures formed great societies rich with stories and myths, and with knowledge and cultural expression, and with sacred worship practices. And God saw that they would need to learn how to live fully in community and how to live with other communities: to adapt and to adjust their customs; to live with a deepening and unfolding spirituality; to strive for justice, to live with love; and to have community with God’s own Self. And so God was with them, and God’s Spirit never left them.
And God saw that this would be a place for you and for me
.....and God saw that it was very good.
